Bank of America
Building Size: 1.7 million sq. ft.
When completed, the Bank of America headquarters at One Bryant Park will be a model of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. A large cogeneration plant will supply about 50% of the electricity needs for the entire building. The energy cost of the building Core & Shell is expected to be at least 50% below that of ASHRAE 90.1-1999 Appendix G. Working with the design team Cook + Fox Architects (Core & Shell), Gensler (tenant fitout) and Jaros Baum & Bolles Consulting Engineers, MEP, the professionals of Viridian have performed energy analyses for both Core & Shell and tenant fitout, have performed the "green" analyses for the tenant fitout, and have collaborated with e4 on "green" consulting for the Core & Shell. The work was started when Viridian professionals were part of another company and is co-funded by the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority.
