The school, which will serve 660 students, features a gymnasium, media center, cafeteria and theater, was designed by Tai Soo Kim Partners, Architects and BVH for MEP. When completed, the building will contain a variety of sustainable design features for practical and educational purposes, including a vegetated roof, rain gardens and bioswales for stormwater management.

Viridian professionals had been performing energy and green analyses until 2006 as part of the Energy/Green/Commissioning group of another company. In 2006 this group became the nucleus of Viridian.
