			LEED / Green Building Consulting Viridian is engaged in sustainability services for the building industry and specializes in the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system. A voluntary process for rating green building projects, the work includes assessments and research of site issues, water use efficiency, energy usage, environmental quality, and green materials and resources. Projects range from existing building renovations and commercial interior fit-outs to new construction and core & shell developments.
			Commissioning / Building Testing Viridian provides full building commissioning services. We review and document all building energy-related systems during the design and construction phases, ensuring optimum performance post-occupancy. We also offer third-party reviews and development of performance test procedures, as well as, in-field verification and testing of mechanical systems operations.
			Daylight Modeling The use of daylighting in buildings can improve indoor environmental quality, and can result in energy savings. Using ray-tracing software during the design phase, Viridian can simulate lighting and daylighting levels within a space, which can help reduce glare and unwanted visual contrast.
			Heat Flow Analysis of Building Assemblies Using THERM and ALGOR software, Viridian conducts heat flow analyses through steel, aluminum and concrete building components to analyze the potential for moisture condensation in highly conductive wall and roof assemblies.
			Building Guidelines Viridian helps to establish and write green building guidelines for public and private organizations to encourage the planning and construction of sustainable, high-performance buildings.
